Influenced by Albert Mayr ideas about soundscapes, I first explored the multiple
opportunities and the richness of sound communication with this multimedia installation.

I felt stimulated to try to identify Bolzano's sound identity along the following lines:
_blindfolded, I followed an itinerary through Bolzano with a sound recorder
_I edited what I recorded reinterpreting the sound from my memory of the experience
_I created still images as close as possible to what the real sounds made
me "visualize"

The result was an audiovisual installation aiming at increasing the public's awareness
of the universe of sound and how it defines physical spaces; and in this way, invite
people to experiment. The flyer itself emphasized this invitation since it was wrapped
in a blindfold.

The project Bendato was selected for presentation at “Notte Bianca”, an event
organized by the City Hall of Bolzano (Italy).
